My pride and joy.
It's no secret to those who know me that Duke is my pride and joy. Today we went to see the school he will be attending next year. Duke is really looking forward to being a fifth grader and commuting on his own (of course this scares the hell out of me).

Day 150 (365)
I'm on my way....
I took this from a cab on my way to Nao's house, while talking on the phone with Nao :-) Not much to see, but I still liked the shot.

Ok, they're not really my wheels. This is parked outside the Renaissance Hotel in White Plains, NY

Day 148 (365)
I signed up to go to a work retreat in White Plains. I missed the coach bus the school rented, so I had to catch the Metro North. It was a nice ride even though the day was kinda gray.
Day 147 (365)
125th St. and Broadway.
Last minute shopping brought me to Harlem. ...Then to Washington Heights .... then to Riverdale..... then to bed.

Day 146 (365)
This has been an exhausting week. I got home really late last night after the poetry show, and had to deal with the hassle of losing my cellphone and everyone's number with it. Today helped chaperon a third grade class to the UniverSoul Circus. It was an interesting experience, we had a lot of fun. I managed to snap a few shots without flash even though taking photos wasn't allowed inside the tent..
Day 145 (365)
April is National Poetry month and my school celebrated it by having an awesome poetry slam. The show was a success! Students, staff members and even parents participated by reciting original poems. Everyone had a blast! and it was even featured in bronx 12
In this picture the poets are waiting to be awakened or "rise, poets, rise!" as Brown said it :-)

Day 144 (365)
I had to take teacher portraits for my school's yearbook today. I am not, or pretend to be, a studio photographer, but I think it's not half bad, considering I had to construct my own background from fadeless paper and a classroom flag. I also had no special lighting equipment or assistant :-)
